European Developer of the Year

Ampowr wins European Developer of the Year at the 2025 SMM x European Solar Awards. The achievement recognizes the dedication, creativity, and determination that drive Ampowr’s mission to accelerate the energy transition across Europe.

The award ceremony, held alongside the Solar & Energy Storage Summit 2025, took place on November 3rd at the Hilton Hotel in Barcelona. The broader event welcomed more than 500 senior-level delegates from over 50 countries, uniting leaders across the renewable energy and storage sectors. During the ceremony, five distinctions were presented to Europe’s most innovative and impactful organizations shaping the future of energy.

The European Developer of the Year Award recognized Ampowr’s in-house developed Energy Management System, Cosmos. Cosmos sets new benchmarks for security and compliance, holding ISO 27001 certification and meeting the European Union’s rigorous NIS2 standards. Beyond compliance, it drives innovation with advanced trading algorithms across multiple markets, including day-ahead and intraday, and features like peak shaving and curtailment, providing a solution for every energy challenge.

Evaluation criteria for the awards were based on five pillars of excellence across each organization’s value chain: Financial Health, Entrepreneurship, Differentiation (recognizing unique value propositions), Market Impact, and Social Responsibility.

Nominees were selected through a public nomination process, with the most nominated organizations advancing as finalists. Following this stage, the selection of winners was opened to a public vote, which ran from October 6 to October 20.
