Stephen Peel is a UK-based investor who has spent over 30 years in international private equity with Goldman Sachs and a larger part of which as a senior partner of TPG Capital. He now runs his own family office, Seven Seat Capital, and undertakes and funds philanthropic work through SMP Policy Innovation. He is a member of the Trilateral Commission and sits on the Advisory Boards of the Jackson Institute of Global Affairs at Yale University and the Institute of State Effectiveness. He also chairs the Tujenge Africa Foundation. He received an M.A. from Cambridge University, a Masters from Yale University and was a visiting fellow at the Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford University.
