Daar gingen we in gesprek over de kansen die er liggen voor glastuinbouwbedrijven om flexibiliteit om te zetten in opbrengst. Wie een stevige netaansluiting heeft en flexibel kan sturen op opwek en verbruik, kan inmiddels ook verdienen. De markt beloont regelbaar vermogen. J<strong>uist daar komt batterijopslag in beeld, mits die slim wordt aangestuurd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>De aanleiding is duidelijk. Energieprijzen zijn de afgelopen jaren volatieler geworden, al zien we de laatste maanden mede door de introductie van PICASSO en lagere gasprijzen wat minder extreme uitslagen. Of dat structureel is, valt nog te bezien. De day-ahead markt blijft interessant voor batterijen door terugkerende prijsschommelingen, meer momenten van negatieve prijsvorming en de transitie van uur naar kwartierblokken. Tegelijkertijd worstelen bedrijven met netcongestie. Een batterij biedt hier een concrete oplossing: door piekverbruik lokaal op te vangen en teruglevering te bufferen, vermindert u de druk op uw aansluiting en behoudt u speelruimte, ook waar het net krap is.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Een batterij-energieopslagsysteem (BESS) maakt van flexibiliteit een stuurbaar middel. Laden wanneer prijzen laag zijn. Ontladen wanneer de prijzen hoog zijn. En wanneer het past binnen de bedrijfsvoering kan flexibel vermogen ook worden ingezet voor netdiensten.<\/p>\n<p>Daarmee ontstaan meerdere routes naar opbrengst. <strong>Balanceringsmarkten zoals FCR, aFRR en mFRR zijn bedoeld om het net in balans te houden en kunnen vergoedingen opleveren voor beschikbaarheid en, afhankelijk van het product, ook voor activatie<\/strong>. Daarnaast biedt de onbalansmarkt kansen door prijsbewegingen per kwartier slim in te zetten. \ufffc<\/p>\n<p><strong>Het is wel realistisch om te benoemen dat opbrengsten kunnen fluctueren<\/strong>. Begin 2026 zijn prijsspreads op de day-ahead markt wat aan de lage kant, en omdat er een wisselwerking bestaat tussen day-ahead prijzen en de vergoedingen op ancillary services, staan ook die onder enige druk. Opbrengsten zijn doorgaans hoger in de zomer dan in de winter. Het rendement ontstaat pas met een e<strong>nergiemanagementsysteem (EMS) dat realtime kijkt naar marktprijzen, onbalanssignalen, beschikbare capaciteit en de grenzen van het teeltproces<\/strong>.
